Portraiture Demostrations

Jim gives demonstrations of his expressive portraiture painting technique to audiences using oils. A person is selected or volunteers from the audience and Jim develops a portrait while explaining the process, including measuring technique, colours, brush strokes, and materials.

The demonstration takes about an hour and a half. Jim uses two twenty-minute sessions to develop the portrait, and the remaining time is spent answering questions and describing his process. At the end, the portrait is given to the sitter.
