Figurative Studies
The large figurative triptychs place the figure inside forces that do not resolve. Some use sacred narratives directly: migration, war, persecution. The ideals we claim, the reality we create. Others place the figure inside what life imposes: perception, bias, what others decide you are. These paintings do not explain, they confront.
