Earth

Dense, layered, grounded. These paintings work close to the surface. Impasto, texture, the weight of material. Colour that feels dug out rather than applied. The earth series returns to the same elemental forces. Soil, rock, the slow accumulation of time. Nothing is fixed. Nothing is finished. The paint itself becomes the landscape.
