Journey to Ithaca

Skyscapes in response to Constantine Cavafy's poem Ithaca, 1911. Odysseus's voyage home as a metaphor for life. Guided by stars, shaped by what you encounter on the way. The paintings don't illustrate the poem. They inhabit its atmosphere.

For me, Ithaca is the practice itself. Not a place to arrive at, but the reason to keep moving.  The destination is still ahead.
